GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Adam Lee of Gainesville to serve as Judge on the Alachua County Court.
Lee is a Managing Member at Adam Lee Law PLLC. According to his firm’s website, Lee was born and raised in Gainesville and graduated from the International Baccalaureate program at Eastside High School before attending the University of Florida for both his undergraduate and law degrees.
Adam started his law career at the State Attorney’s Office, where he prosecuted criminal cases in misdemeanor, criminal traffic, juvenile, and felony courts in Alachua, Bradford, and Union Counties.
Upon leaving the State Attorney’s Office in 2012, Adam became the in-house counsel at a multi-state energy company, where he handled civil litigation matters, including issues involving contracts, debt collection, and employment law. Prior to founding Adam Lee Law PLLC in 2016, Adam worked at a local family law firm, where he litigated family law cases involving divorce, child support, child custody, and time-sharing.
Lee enjoys spending time with his wife, his three children, and his two “lazy basset hounds.” He has served as President-Elect of the Young Lawyers Division of the Eighth Judicial Circuit Bar Association, is the co-founder of the YoPro Golf League, served on the Board of the Gainesville Quarterback Club, is a proud Rotarian, and is a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, where he is an elected member of the vestry.
Congrats to Adam from a former teacher!

It is the State of Florida – with an elected Republican as Governor… it’s not the State of Alachua County. What do you expect??
It’s R E P U B L I C A N.
I missed the part where the story identified his political associations though.
Since that’s cleared up, maybe he’ll do more than just telling LEOs to catch and release those individuals “allegedly” breaking the laws within society.
Better than those thug lover demorats judges
Yes, beware the “demorats”
Except he wasn’t appointed to Judge Green’s vacancy. He was appointed to Judge Jaworski’s seat. At least get the basics correct. Jeez.
That was the information provided by the Governor’s Office.
And that’s what the Chronicle regurgitates, verbatim, every time. No fact-checking, no critical thinking, no “maybe the little guy’s office has this wrong” journalism. The Chronicle never disappoints!
Yet here you are.
Perhaps try the corporate media sites, they are great at providing “fact-checking” 🙄
Correct. Kristin Van Vorst was promoted to Green’s division 3.
No, she was already a judge. She rotated from a civil docket to Judge Green’s division. Judge Jonathan Ramsey was appointed to Judge Green’s vacancy.
Just the Facts, if you want a fluffy news report instead of facts, you can direct your reading to the Gainesville Sun.
God Bless you Judge Lee. May you seek the Lord’s Wisdom in your days of service.
Glad to see a judge that is not tainted by being a former public defender.
The citizens of Alachua County have been terrorized for years by soft-on-crime judges and a weak State Attorneys Office. It has been 100% proven that this approach does not work, and the untold amount of unnecessary, completely avoidable suffering it has created is beyond tragic.
Please don’t let us down, Judge Lee. Apply the law as written and lock the criminals up in jail.
Any “mercy” or second chances you extend to criminals will be converted into assaults, theft, and murders by those same criminals.
Hopefully he knows how to fight crime. Not another Dem scumbag crime magnet golden goose groomer.
He looks 12 years old.
