TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the following bill:
CS/CS/CS/SB 700 – Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services
The bill is over 100 pages long but is best known for prohibiting the addition of fluoride to drinking water: it prohibits the use of “any additive in a public water system which does not meet the definition of a water quality additive.”

I heard this from my dentist long before I heard it from RFK– research shows that fluoride is effective and safe when applied topically, and dangerous and ineffective when ingested.
BS. Your dentist is a fool and in complete disagreement with his peers. Tooth decay can be fatal, but the more common problems and expenses are not debatable.

Ingestion is also shown to significantly decrease IQ scores. I have very recent anecdotal evidence that this is true.

Fluoride in drinking water helps strengthen teeth and bones as babies are growing in their mother’s womb and makes a lifelong difference for the oral health of children. You can’t retroactively fix that after the baby is born.
Children will suffer in Florida from this ridiculous law and poor children will suffer the most but I think we all know that’s the point.

Just a little fun fact….especially for the City Folks: Well water doesn’t have fluoride in it. Do you know how many residences in Alachua County have wells? LOTS!!!!! Do Republicans live in all those homes? NO!!!!
