TALLAHASSEE, Fla— Today, Governor Ron DeSantis signed the following bills:

CS/CS/HB 89 – Building Construction

CS/HB 95 – Rights of Law Enforcement Officers and Correctional Officers

CS/HB 111 – Flooding and Sea Level Rise Vulnerability Studies

HB 119 – Visiting County and Municipal Detention Facilities

CS/CS/HB 637 – Motor Vehicle Dealers, Manufactures, Importers, and Distributors

  • Left out the governor’s declaration of Florida as a sanctuary state for indicted GOP politicians, and his restated dedication to weaponizing the state government against anyone who publicly disagrees with him or any new laws passed by the legislature.

  • HB637 keeps Florida free by…. outlawing car manufacturers from selling directly to consumers, helping to make sure that dealerships get their cut, and to make cars more expensive for consumers than they would be without the middleman. Thanks, Ron! Unsurprisingly, the bill was authored and pushed by the Florida Automobile Dealers Association. Look for their Presidential Campaign contributions to follow, as a quid pro quo “thank you”!
