Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis highlight expanded partnership of Hope Florida and Florida’s 67 Sheriffs

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis and First Lady Casey DeSantis announced that each of Florida’s 67 sheriffs now have a Hope Florida liaison in their office. These liaisons now serve as a dedicated person on staff who acts as a point of contact between the sheriff’s office and Hope Florida, serves as a trained expert in Hope Florida, receives Hope Florida materials to distribute within their office, and trains others on the philosophy and functions of Hope Florida.
“Today, First Lady Casey DeSantis and I announced that each of Florida’s 67 sheriffs now have a Hope Florida liaison in their office,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “We are grateful for their partnership and pleased that Hope Florida continues to help so many to find self-sufficiency.”

Spearheaded by First Lady Casey DeSantis, Hope Florida brings together the private sector, faith-based community, and nonprofits and utilizes Hope Navigators to guide individuals through existing resources and onto a pathway to economic prosperity and self-sufficiency.
To date, more than 118,000 Floridians have been referred to Hope Florida, and as a result, 30,000 Floridians have reduced or completely eliminated their reliance on public assistance. Thanks to its success, Hope Florida will save taxpayers an estimated $108 million per year and over $1 billion over ten years.
Oh look – DeS is trying to set up his wife as the next GOP governor for Florida. Why? To gain back the power he’s lost over the Florida legislature after his lame run for the GOP presidential nomination.
And wasting our tax dollars to do it, which is on brand for ol’Pudding Fingers in his go-go boots.

“One of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ key programs reshaping how the state handles welfare for Floridians has not been complying with state laws governing its oversight, ethics and fundraising, according to an analysis for a Republican-led House committee. The charity arm of The Hope Florida Foundation, launched by first lady Casey DeSantis, hasn’t told state lawmakers or auditors about its activities or structure as required in state statutes.
It also appears not to have filed its federal tax returns. The revelations are noted in a House bill analysis about one of the DeSantises’ top priorities this session — and one that’s supposed to be a launchpad for Casey DeSantis if she runs for governor in 2026.
But details surrounding the program’s performance, personnel and its foundation have been vague. The Herald/Times wrote last week that the organization has not turned over public records and unlike other charities of significant size, the foundation’s tax returns are not available online. The Hope Florida Foundation is operating as a “direct support organization” under state law, but apparently not complying with any of the provisions of that law, the House analysis notes….”
