Governor Ron DeSantis appoints Dr. Tara Ezzell to the Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Dr. Tara Ezzell to the Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees.

Dr. Ezzell is a Partner and Dermatologist at Dermatology Associates. Active in her community, she is the Assistant Secretary of the Parker Road Community Development District Board of Directors and is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, the Florida Medical Association, the Florida Society of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery, and the Alachua County Medical Society. Dr. Ezzell earned her bachelor’s degree from Emory University and Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Florida.

This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

  • For those who think they have seen her name before:

    Ezzell is a good Republican loyalist the Gov is itching to appoint to something. In 2023 she was one of the first five appointees to the first GRU oversight board. Problem was her appointment was illegal. She does not live in Gainesville and she was not a GRU electric customer AS REQUIRED by that little pesky thing called THE LAW. She resigned before she was sworn in, to her credit.

    • I am stunned. Above is a paragraph of true facts and the Alachua Chronicle article where the facts are gathered from. Yet 7 alternate history loving idiots give it a thumbs down. Are you objecting to facts being posted about a Good Republican operative? Are you trying to fool sane people into thinking the facts are not true? Giving thumbs down to the inconvenient truth shows your real nature.

  • I love her as a doc but she drinks deeply from the GOP koolaid. She was the only community member to attend the UF BOT meeting and speak in support of hiring Sasse . . .and we all see how well that worked out.

    • Thanks for the link. The testimony is fascinating. Every local big wig lawyer and official is a character witness for William Ezzell. The takeaway is not his case, but the demonstration of how the Bar rallies around and covers up and protects their own. Every witness said “he is a good lawyer, never misrepresented a client, never did anything wrong in court during business hours, so it is none of the Bar’s business if his hobby is being a Class A Pervert at home on his own time outside of business hours.” Wow.

      90 day suspension. Slap on the wrist “punishment.”
