Governor Ron DeSantis appoints four to the Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Robert Hitchcock and Karin Montini and the reappointment of Emery Gainey and Caridad “Carrie” Lee to the Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees.
Robert Hitchcock
Hitchcock is the Vice President of Hitchcock & Sons, Inc. Active in his community, he is a member of the Ronald McDonald House Gainesville Board of Directors. Hitchcock earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Stetson University.
Karin Montini
Montini is the Associate Head of School at Oak Hall School. Previously, she served as a Curriculum Developer for Kaplan K-12 Learning Services and a Teacher for Arlington Public Schools. Montini earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Florida State University, her master’s degree in school leadership from Harvard University, and is currently working towards her doctorate in organizational leadership from Vanderbilt University.
Emery Gainey
Gainey is currently retired and previously served as the Sheriff of Alachua County. Previously, he served as the Chief of Staff for the Office of the Florida Attorney General, the Sheriff of Marion County, and a Chief Deputy for the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Gainey earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice from the University of Florida.
Caridad “Carrie” Lee
Lee is the President and Owner of Florida Blue Farms, Inc. Previously, she served as the Vice President of the Florida Woodland Company and a Teacher for Marion County Public Schools. Lee earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education from the University of Florida and her master’s degree in religious education from Loyola University.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
