Governor Ron DeSantis appoints four to the Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of C. Austen Roberts and the reappointment of George “Blake” Fletcher, Jeffrey Oody, and Robert Woody to the Santa Fe College District Board of Trustees.

C. Austen Roberts

Roberts is the President of The Roberts Companies and a Co-Owner and Broker of Swift Creek Realty. Active in his community, he is a member of the Florida Forestry Association Board of Directors and a Construction Volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. Roberts earned his bachelor’s degree from Valdosta State University.

George “Blake” Fletcher

Fletcher is the President of Fletcher Construction, LLC., and the Owner and Manager of W. Group Property Management and Fletcher Development, LLC. Active in his community, he has served on the North Central Florida Builders Association Board of Directors and the Metropolitan Transportation Planning Organization Citizens Advisory Committee. Fletcher earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Millsaps College.

Jeffrey Oody

Oody is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Community State Bank in Starke. Active in his community, he has served as a member of the Bradford County Education Foundation, the Rotary Club of Starke, the North Florida Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Bradford County Tourism Development Council. Oody earned his bachelor’s degree in finance and real estate from the University of North Florida and his master’s degree in business administration from Liberty University.

Robert Woody

Woody is currently retired and previously served as the Jail Director for the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office and a Correctional Probation Officer for the Florida Department of Corrections. Active in his community, he has served on the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University Board of Trustees and as a Commissioner for the Eighth Circuit Judicial Nominating Commission. Woody earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Oneonta and his master’s degree in criminal justice administration from Rollins College.

These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.
