TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Jeanette Nuñez as Chair of the Space Florida Board of Directors.
Jeanette Nuñez
Nuñez is the Interim President of Florida International University. She previously served as the Lieutenant Governor of Florida since 2018. Nuñez was also a State Representative in the Florida House of Representatives from 2010 to 2018 and was named Speaker Pro Tempore from 2016 to 2018. In her role as Lieutenant Governor, she oversaw the Florida Department of Health, led the Florida Cybersecurity Advisory Council, and served on the Statewide Council on Human Trafficking. Nuñez earned her bachelor’s degree in political science and international relations and her master’s degree in public administration from Florida International University.
This appointment is subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

She was elected as lieutenant governor…the second in command, only behind the governor. She quits and somehow gets appointed by the governor to other cushy state positions. Wtf is going in? Is this kompromat? Is this just the brotherhood system?
Nobody would accept an elected vice President resigning and then being immediately appointed to various other high level government positions. We need to ask more questions is all I’m saying
They are trying to save the university system from becoming a giant indoctrination system that just feeds into the NGO bloat. I don’t really care how they do it … just get it done.
