Governor Ron DeSantis reappoints two to the St. Johns River Water Management District

Press release from the Office of Governor Ron DeSantis
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Today, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the reappointment of Douglas Burnett and Maryam Ghyabi-White to the St. Johns River Water Management District.
Douglas Burnett
Burnett is a Self-employed Consultant to Defense Manufacturers. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and served from 1963 to 2010, retiring with the rank of Major General. Following his active military service, Burnett served as Florida’s Adjutant General. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Maryam Ghyabi-White
Ghyabi-White is the Chief Executive Officer of Ghyabi Consulting and Management. Active in her community, she is a member of the Truist Bank Board of Trustees and the Floridians for Better Transportation Board and previously served as a member of the National PACE Center for Girls Board of Trustees. Ghyabi-White earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the University of Central Florida.
These appointments are subject to confirmation by the Florida Senate.

Every member of this board except one is in a type of business with a conflict of interest with clean springs and rivers.
If we elect Republicans, this is what we get.
Please tell us how Major Burnetts background creates a conflict if interest. By the way, I’m still torn on your true identity, is it Mark Sexton or Ron Cunningham?
And you are Ben Sasse or Dan Mullen?
The Major by his background show’s no bias one way or the other, but with his political connection to state GOP and Business Administration degree, let’s be serious. You think he’s an undercover Sierra Club agent?
Again, where are the biologists and water quality experts and advocates, someone representing homeowners, outdoor enthusiasts, eco-tourism buisinesses, local governments.
Dude, it’s all business and making millions, all the time, nd the hellth the future. Don’t pretend otherwise.
