TALLAHASSEE, Fla.—Today, Governor Ron DeSantis received the following bills today:
HB 421 – Peer Support for First Responders
HB 513 – Electronic Transmittal of Court Orders
HB 549 – Gulf of America
HB 575 – The Designation of the Gulf of Mexico
HB 655 – Pet Insurance and Wellness Programs
HB 1313 – Trust Funds/Re-creation/Resilient Florida Trust Fund/DEP
The Governor has until April 18, 2025, to act on these bills.
Meanwhile the Gov is implementing his Unfree State of Florida program by doing a New College hit on the state university system by clamping down on those darn researchers. Florida will soon be a No-Go Zone for the best faculty and researchers in the nation, though admittedly hard to pass up on having ignorant and ideological politicians looking over your shoulder and deciding the worthiness of your work.

Seriously, PAY ATTENTION to what’s going on in the legislature. The past two Senate presidents have not allowed any pro-2A bills to be heard. Focus your anger on Ben Albritton. DeSantis can’t sign bills that aren’t passed.
Watch out for House bill 549. After July 1, 2025, it requires that only school textbooks and library books that change to Gulf of America can be purchased. Of course, only far right MAGA publishers will do that, so the state will only buy conservative fascist MAGA textbooks and library books to indoctrinate and brainwash all public school students. These Rethuglicans just will not quit. They are just insidious and evil.
