Governor’s executive order suspends all local COVID-19 mandates on businesses and individuals

Today Governor Ron DeSantis signed two executive orders. Order 21-102 takes effect immediately and suspends all local COVID-19 restrictions and mandates on individuals and businesses. It then “eliminates and supersedes any existing emergency order issued by a county or municipality that imposes restrictions or mandates upon businesses or individuals” and goes on to state that “no county or municipality may renew or enact an emergency order or ordinance… that imposes restrictions or mandates upon businesses or individuals due to the COVID-19 emergency.”
Executive Order 21-101 takes effect on July 1 and invalidates any local order “which restricts the rights or liberties of individuals or their businesses.”
Can someone clarify if my child has to wear a mask to school tomorrow in an Alachua County public school?
This doesn’t appear to automatically change school mask rules.
It says, in the article, that it doesn’t take effect until 7/1/21.
I’m sure Mark Sexton will fail to reiterate the Governor’s order so allow me to assist since he is probably having dinner.

“What can we do now?” “Someone contact the county attorney and see if her office can pull something out of their arses so we can take the issue to the Florida Supreme Court.” “There has to be something Poe can do.” “Does this mean I have to go back to the office?”

When you take time to actually read the order you will discover: “This order is effective beginning on July 1, 2021 and shall be immediately filed with the Division of Administrative Hearings”
His executive order is effective immediately.
It appears Cornel is already stumping for private businesses to implement their own masks’ requirements in lieu of the governor taking away his “hand.”
So good to know we have a Governor that has lots of common sense!! Just like with the nursing homes, he kept our older population safe. And those that don’t like these orders can move up north, I’m sure you can wear a mask forever! The
One would think they’d pat themselves on the back and MOVE ON. ~90% of seniors in this county are vaccinated. We’re down to ~30 “cases” per day and I’m sure those are almost all young people.
What slays me about these loons is they spend MOST of their time on masks, rather than any sort of coherent campaign to get people vaccinated.
