GPD asks public to help identify suspects in property damage at Seagle Building

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying three suspects who broke into the Seagle Building (408 W. University Avenue) at about 1:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 11, and turned on a water hose on the roof, causing over $10,000 in damage to the building.

According to information posted by GPD, the three suspects broke into the building, made their way to the roof of the building, and turned on a water hose. The water subsequently started flowing into the building, through the ceiling and into the smoke alarms, which caused a short, alerting the alarm company. The damage from the water was extensive and estimated at over $10,000.00.

  • I don’t recognize any of them but if one turns himself in or is captured, I would suggest waterboarding him for the identities of the others instead of a plea deal.
    Appropriate considering the crime.
