GPD completes Internal Affairs investigation into Colliers International search warrant

Press release from Gainesville Police Department
Chief Tony Jones and the Gainesville Police Department (GPD) completed an Internal Affairs investigation received on June 24, 2021, from Mr. Jason Hurst, relating to GPD’s servicing of a search warrant at Colliers International (107 SW 7th Street) on June 2, 2021.
The Internal Affairs report notes that all concerns identified within the complaint were found to be within GPD and City of Gainesville policy; that no misconduct was identified on the part of any officers involved; and that the utilization of the SWAT Team during this operation was not a violation of GPD policy.
A video community briefing, highlighting the incident, can be found here: https://youtu.be/Oa3oWiBzTF8.
If any members of the media or the public would like a copy of the Internal Affairs report, please submit a public records request to the Gainesville Police Department.
GPD remains committed to being transparent with our Internal Affairs investigation, and in the sharing of our policies and procedures with the public.
So, don’t be surprised if the SWAT team shows up at your place of business, or your residence, even if you’re not involved in anything that might possibly construed as a violent crime…
It’s all part of our new tyrannical, crony driven big government…
Got it…
Another GPD/BrandonJones cover-up! UPOS!
We investigated ourselves and we find that we did nothing wrong.
They can do anything they like as long as it doesn’t violate “policy”.
From a feeble old police chief on his 3rd retirement from the city. Chances are the whole thing was politically motivated by that inept city commission. Mostly liars and people who can’t function in the business world. Widely known that Hayes-Santos doesn’t like Nathan Collier. Most likely because he’s jealous of him because Collier is actually a success, not a government latch-key kid tied to his mothers apron strings.
