Well even a impending weather event can’t slow down gangsville or the thug life,
hello bear I need more information about Steve Padgett Chester. How could I talk to you?
Ck Alachua public records, court records and or internet search
Folks, we are having a murder a day here lately! WTH?! The lawlessness in this town has gotten out of control. What is the solution?
Maybe a complete Crack down on gangs, habitual violent offenders, drug dealers, etc. Maybe make Alachua County somewhere that CRIMINALS are afraid to live in and everyday they are looking over their shoulders for the blue lights. But this requires a complete make over of the Gainesville and County Commissions, and a complete dis-association with woke and liberal policies. The SAO and list of judges need to be purged to insure compentate sentencing. Also law enforcement has to have complete support to do their jobs. But this County is probably so far gone it would take a decade to fix it.
@ Bear- perfectly said! 🎯
the state attorney is a pansy
You can start by allowing the cops to do their job. But this police chief is too concerned with handing out stuffed animals and having movie night in the hood.
That area seems to be seeing more of this sort of thing. Maybe dealers etc have moved in after students have moved to newer complexes.
There has been a massive shift in ownership of apartments and low cost housing in and around Gainesville over the past 3-5 years. Most of these complexes were previously owned by local(ish) parties. Not anymore. Keep that in mind and do a quick search next time you notice a crime ridden complex. Acpafl.org is a good resource. So is sunbiz.org
The Park Apartments is one more case in point:

Another one in the news recently – the Cassabella complex near UF golf course – same problems and large out of town owners.
The complexes of Tower Rd and SW 8th, adjacent to I-75. Same ownership problem. Same crime problem
These huge out of town ‘investors’ could care less who lives in their buildings, as long as they receive the nearly guaranteed, govt-back rent payments
I don’t blame the old owners. Who wants to try to rent to people in this town when the city and county put all the burden on the homeowner and never on the tenant.
I’m not blaming them either. They got out at a good time
Praying wholeheartedly for my sister’s that live in gainsville they call the the twins Melinda and mashell do anyone knows them I’ve been trying to get a hold of them please please let me know if anyone knows them
It’s those darn misbehaving guns again
Move section 8 housing out of the county. Or abolish.
It really sounds simplistic, but if the police were allowed to do their job without fear of repercussion, much of this gun violence would be identified and stopped before it happens. The #1 job of law enforcement is to keep people safe. The City of Gainesville is failing; the reasons don’t matter when people are dying under their watch. It’s your fault GPD!
its the chief’s fault. he just as bad as jones – useless!!
Another ex-student “luxury apartment” complex destroyed by Dem housing handouts, perhaps?
Mayor Poe and his ilk with anti police rhetoric. No accountability for GPD failed leadership, well played Gville.
Another day, another shooting in the future Republican Utopia of Springs County. Take Alachua County’s criminals, please.
The victim in this shooting was Rohntavious Janavo Hayes. TV 20 reported that he was a loving father of 4 and would be greatly missed in the community. This upstanding scholar has a great criminal history. He has played with guns in the past along with other felonies. His photo is outstanding with all the gold teeth and the silly hairdo. Gangsta living didnt work out for him too well.
Turn your heart’s back God, because what we are witnessing is only going to get worse. What’s going on in this town has nothing to do with government rental assistance, and whose moving and out of what neighborhood. Be prayerful and watchful, because you never know when this can effect you or your neighborhood.
