GPD looking for truck and suspect in package theft

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Police Department is looking for this truck and suspect who stole three packages from the front porch of a home on SW 4th Place on New Year’s Day. He backed the vehicle, a black Ford F250 FX4, into the victim’s driveway. Unfortunately, the license plate was reported stolen from Duval County. Call 352-955-1818 if you see the vehicle.

  • It seems like the People’s Republic of Gainesville keeps attracting more and more criminals.

  • That truck will be so hard to find as it blends in with its surroundings and the license plate is a little fuzzy. This looks like another cold case for Gainesville ‘s finest. Can’t fix stupid but you can put them in jail. Oh wait… this is Alachua County.

  • Didn’t a prior story mention a UPS driver that was stealing iPhones & such? This person of interest could have created a joint business venture with that guy.
    At the very least he could have picked up some of the tossed merchandise along NW 98th another person made comments about.
