GPD makes arrest in NW 13th Street DUI crash

On Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Gainesville Police Department (GPD) officers responded to a vehicle crash at the 5500 block of NW 13th Street.

After arriving to the scene, GPD officers identified Eduardo F. Roblero Morales (DOB: 11/02/95) as the driver of a vehicle that was traveling northbound on NW 13th Street, swerving back and forth between lanes. After almost sideswiping vehicles on the roadway, Roblero Morales proceeded to attempt to turn left (westbound) onto NW 55th Boulevard, when his vehicle collided head-on with another vehicle. Roblero Morales then exited his vehicle and attempted to flee the scene. Several on-lookers and witnesses ensured Roblero Morales remained on scene until law enforcement arrived.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to UF Health Shands with non-life-threatening injuries. Roblero Morales was charged with Driving Under the Influence.
