At about 6 p.m. tonight, officers responded to a home in the 2900 block of NE 12th Street after Lee’s parents called 911 and said their son, Torrance Lee, was behaving in an erratic manner. Lee has been arrested six times since 2020 for domestic battery, but all of the charges have been dropped. He has four felony convictions (all violent) and four misdemeanor convictions (three violent) and has served two state prison sentences.

  • Listened to the incident. The GPD did a very good job, the on-scene Lieutenant professionally managed to situation.

    • GPD isn’t the problem. It’s the local useless judicial branch and connected NGO campaign donors who are.

  • Almost sounds like a real mental health issue. Maybe Schizophrenic. but I am not a doctor, was just in a relationship with someone who was later to be diagnosed. Those behaviors are the scariest for loved ones.

    • Sadly much psychoses was triggered by past drug abuse. Nancy Reagan was right.

  • Another section 8 crime breeding farm our taxes support for lawyers’ skool loan payoffs, perhaps??

  • This would not have happened if our State’s Attorney and Judges had did their job and had placed him where he belongs. Now another person has become a victim of Alachua Co. swinging door judicial system.

  • This is what happens when your State Attorney’s office is run as if it were in Portland

  • I don’t understand the part about an RTS bus being brought in to accommodate the perp’s friends and family…?

  • “Arrested 6 times since 2020 for domestic battery, but all of the charges have been dropped.” Can’t see any problem here.

  • 4 felony convictions, all violent, and 4 missy’s 3 violent.
But, mental illness is his plea bargain!
    I’m cray cray boss!
Let him out! See what happens, never stopped the 8th Judicial circuit before. And wheres the part about the judge and the first appearance hearing? It ain’t here.
The “victim” musta been an African American.
