    • Maybe the car or the plates belong to a family member of someone on the staff of Gainesville/Alachua C government, and the police are very solicitously giving them time to work on their cover story? I don’t know, it’s just a thought.

  • This POS probably has a lame excuse for their actions. Disgusting. Another life extinguished because someone doesnt have any morals.

  • ASO or GPD is gonna catch up with them. May take a day or two, but they gonna find them.

  • Geez – at least you could report the correct tag number! It is a zero “0” – Not an “O”!

    • I see. They posted the graphic and the tag number on X at GainesvillePD.

Maybe this is why they can’t track down the owner. 😆

  • So sad for the victim and the family. I hope the murderer gets charged with murder and not manslaughter.

  • Now that Butler is connected better to SWAG corridor, expect these tragedies of “inclusion” to happen more often.

  • There is so much surveillance/cameras in that area AND police have the tag number. So still can’t figure who this was??

  • ALACHUA CHRONICLES!
Ya’ll need to tell the public what GPD and ACSO has released so far about this, if anything.
    I know they got something…..
I hear our boys in blue & the deputies in green calling in tag numbers, automobile, driver and occupant descriptions all the time on a police scanner.
    Now….
tell us what you know please .
    🤔
