GPD seeking vehicle that hit bicyclist on Newberry Road on Monday night

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gainesville Police Department is seeking a vehicle that hit a bicyclist last night on Newberry Road.

At about 8:03 p.m. on Monday night, an unknown vehicle hit a bicyclist from the rear in the 4300 block of Newberry Road. The bicycle and bicyclist came to rest on the south sidewalk; the vehicle left clear-colored pieces of plastic behind. A passerby saw the victim on the sidewalk and called 911; the victim is in stable condition.

GPD asks anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Ofc. D. Page at 352-393-7744.
