GPD to hold candlelight remembrance on 25th anniversary of Officer Scott Baird’s death

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – It has been 25 years, but Gainesville Police Department has never forgotten. In the early morning hours of February 12, 2001, Officer Scott M. Baird #467, just 23 years old, paid the ultimate sacrifice in service to this community.

Members of GPD will gather on February 12th to stand in solidarity with Officer Baird’s family, friends, and community members.

The 25th Annual Officer Scott Baird #467 Candlelight Remembrance will take place on February 12 at 7:00 p.m. at 1900 NW 16th Terrace (Officer Scott Baird Boulevard).

A hero remembered never dies.

  • It was members of the base ball team. Protected and covered upby parent’s and the school. Sooner or latter one of the POS will talk and manslaughter charges for everyone.
