According to a release from Florida Highway Patrol, a 59-year-old Hawthorne man died late last night when his car hit a tree.
The sedan was traveling north on CR 325 near SE 152nd Lane around 11:20 p.m. on July 8, approaching a curve to the left. The vehicle left the roadway and traveled down the east shoulder, striking a tree. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
And in a just released statement, the “little saplings will be suing not only the driver of the vehicle but the car manufacturer as well.” If anyone knows of any other sticks or possible puddles of water that may have been injured, please contact the nearest tree huggin’ lawyer so those affected may be duly compensated.
On a more serious note, thoughts and prayers to the family of the man who died.
