Staff report
HAWTHORNE, Fla. – A 39-year-old Hawthorne man was killed today in a single-vehicle crash on Holden Park Road.
At about 1:00 p.m., the man was driving a pickup truck south on Holden Park Road when the truck veered onto the east shoulder, where it overturned. The driver was ejected and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
I would like to send my condolences and prayers for strength and comfort to the 39 y/o male. Who ever did this report, should know Holden Park road runs east and west. The shoulders will be north or south. I’ve seen several reports filed like this. Be careful LEO’s…
I bet if we could eliminate these 3 things we could reduce vehicular fatalities by 90%
1. Speeding
2. DUI
3. Texting
That’s it. Avoid these 3 things while driving and we could put alotta EMTs outta work.
I agree. However in this particular case, the use of a seatbelt would have likely saved his life.
I had this conversation with my son in law last week. He makes his kids buckle up but he won’t. I told him how I butted out windshields, knocked rear view mirrors off and bit the steering wheel. I use mine religiously now.
How do you he wasn’t wearing his seatbelt? I’ve seen accidents just like this one person was wearing and was still ejected
If you don’t known the whole story please don’t comment! His story was not 1,2 or 3. Seat belt yes.
You don’t know the whole story either. So don’t assume.
