Hawthorne man killed in single-vehicle crash west of Melrose

MELROSE, Fla. – A 22-year-old Hawthorne man was killed last night when his vehicle traveled off of SR 26, west of Melrose, and hit a tree.
At about 9:30 p.m. on June 9, the man was driving an SUV eastbound on SR 26 when his vehicle traveled off the roadway onto the north shoulder before hitting a fence and a large tree. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
According to the release, he was not wearing a seatbelt.

22 years old, with his whole life ahead of him and now he’s dead. I understand Cracker that you’re p.o.’ed but a 22 year old is dead and I find that so sad.
