Head-on crash in Newberry seriously injures two

NEWBERRY, Fla. – A 46-year-old Newberry woman and a 50-year-old Newberry man were seriously injured in a head-on crash south of Newberry on Friday, January 12.

According to information released today by the Florida Highway Patrol, the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on SW 46th Avenue, east of SW 250th Street, at about 4:25 p.m. on Friday when the woman attempted to turn into a private driveway and the front of her car hit the front of the second vehicle, which was driven by the man.

Both drivers were transported to a local hospital in serious condition. Both were wearing seatbelts.
