High Springs City water system under boil water notice

HIGH SPRINGS, FLa. – Water pressure was restored as of 8 p.m. this evening.
A CITYWIDE BOIL WATER NOTICE REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Residents may notice cloudy water when they first turn on their tap. We encourage residents to please allow their water to run for a few minutes, and it should clear out.
Please keep us updated as to when we could expect it back on as all must make other arrangements. Thank you!
Why didn’t the city alert us before now?
I believe they sent out an alert at 1:54 PM today. I believe the water main break was today also. Seems pretty timely to me.
