High Springs Lions Club to hold Bike & Car Show on Oct. 28

Press release from High Springs Lions Club

HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – The 2nd Annual High Springs Lions Club Bike and Car Show will be held in Historic Downtown High Springs, on Railroad Avenue, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on October 28, 2023.

This is a free family fun event and there is something for every gearhead or casual admirer. This event promises a day filled with classic cars, music, and fun—a perfect way to celebrate the kickoff to Halloween weekend. On display will be restored vehicles representing all decades of automotive history as well as exotics, EVs, and motorcycles right up to the present.

A registration fee of $25.00 will be collected for vehicles entered in the show. 37 Awards will be given out, including Top 5 Motorcycles, Top 25 Cars, Under Construction, Farthest Driven, Youngest Driver, the High Springs Chamber Award for largest Car/Bike Club in attendance, the John B. Sullivan Memorial Award, as well as the Halloween Award. If you love it, show it. Pre-registration is recommended.

This is a rain-or-shine event.

“Each year, our goal is to grow the selection of vehicles from classic antiques to brand new to the show and match the passions of our attendees, all to help bring diabetes awareness,” said High Springs Lions Club event Chairwoman Marsha Fogg. “For our younger attendees, the passion for cars and motorcycles starts very early, and we hope to inspire children and adults, while also providing them with opportunities to learn about the rich history and legendary fanfare of iconic automotive brands.”

We are excited to host this event and the sense of community that events like this bring to Downtown High Springs. The new location gives us the flexibility and space to do everything the show’s fans are asking for and to show off our local business district in a positive light.

In addition to the car showcase, attendees can look forward to a chance to win our 50/50 raffle, adding an element of anticipation and the chance to win. By participating in the car show, attendees can enjoy themselves while making a positive impact on the community. Music by The Big D will create a vibrant atmosphere throughout the event.

Moreover, the Bike and Car Show supports a worthy cause. This year we are kicking off Diabetes Awareness Month a few days early, and 100% of the day’s proceeds will help defray the cost for children with diabetes from our area to attend the Florida Diabetes Camp.

The event is free and open to the public, making it a wonderful opportunity for families and car enthusiasts to come together and enjoy a memorable day. Don’t miss out on this fantastic event celebrating classic bikes and cars and supporting a meaningful cause.
