ALACHUA, Fla. – A 39-year-old High Springs man was killed this afternoon when his vehicle traveled off the roadway on I-75 and hit a tree.
At about 5:27 p.m. on January 9, the High Springs man was driving a sedan northbound on I-75 near the 399 mile marker when his vehicle traveled off the road to the right for unknown reasons and hit an information sign before colliding with a tree. The driver, who was the only occupant, sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. He was wearing a seatbelt.
This is an ongoing investigation.
