High Springs woman arrested on attempted murder charge

Jennifer Diane Lowe

Jennifer Diane Lowe, 42, of High Springs was arrested early this morning after allegedly stabbing her husband.

According to the arrest report, a High Springs Police Department officer responded to a call around 10:30 p.m. Friday night and found witnesses who said a man had been stabbed by his wife. One witness said she had observed a man run out of the next door residence, bleeding from his neck, screaming for someone to call 911. The witness said the man was followed out of the same residence by a woman yelling, “I told you I was going to kill you next time motherf*.**er.”

A second witness said the man ran into her yard, yelling at his wife to stay away from him because she had stabbed him.

The officer wrote that in a post-Miranda interview, Lowe stated that she had stabbed the man in the neck; the knife she described was found in the residence on a couch with blood on it. Another knife was found on the floor at the entrance door, covered in blood. Lowe said the second knife wasn’t hers; she said the victim carried it in his boot and “would put it up to her neck and face.” She said the man had slapped her on the head several times.

The report stated that the victim was in surgery due to his injuries.
