Homeless man arrested for indecent exposure outside Newberry Road business
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Rashard Jerrod Turner, 32, was arrested yesterday for allegedly exposing himself through the large front window of a Newberry Road business.
At about 2:05 p.m. on October 18, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Auto Zone (7725 W. Newberry Road), where two employees said they saw a man touching his exposed genitals while looking in their direction through a large window.
The victim said the man walked away from them and leaned on an employee’s vehicle, continuing to touch himself while in plain view. The victims provided a description of the man.
A deputy made contact with Turner on Tower Road about five minutes later, and post Miranda, Turner reportedly admitted that he had been in the Auto Zone parking lot but denied exposing himself.
Turner, whose address is listed as GRACE Marketplace, has been charged with two counts of indecent exposure. He has no local criminal history, and Judge James Colaw set bail at $50,000.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Dear Pants-less Neighbor! Mayor Ward welcomes you to Gainesville. Know that you may treat the entire town as your bedroom. Invite your friends!
I think he should be placed in a prominent location in front of Eastman’s, Ward’s, or Poe’s homes. Maybe they’ll figure out what helps identify a man.
May as well put all the others who have difficulties with identifying too.
‘Deport’ him to Missouri where he’ll fit in much better. Missouri….also known as the “show-me” state.
