Homeless man charged with raping woman who gave him food
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Corey Montanise Larry, 25, was arrested on August 14 and charged with two counts of sexual battery after allegedly raping a longtime friend who gave him food.
The victim told the responding Gainesville Police Department officer that Larry came to her home on August 11, and she fed him. She said he wanted to have sex, but she considered him to be a friend and had no intention of having sex with him.
She said he tried to force himself on her without a condom, and she had to “fight for her life” to stop him, but he later sexually battered her while wearing a condom although she repeatedly told him to stop.
The next day, Larry allegedly returned to the home and refused to leave unless the victim had sex with him. He allegedly threw her to the ground and sexually battered her again and then left in an Uber as officers arrived.
Over the course of the two incidents, Larry allegedly pulled the victim’s hair, slapped her, and strangled her.
The victim reportedly suffered internal injuries, as well as injuries to her neck and torso, from the incidents; she told a responding officer that she was afraid Larry would continue to come back to her home and harm her.
The officer reported that a used condom was found in the trash at the victim’s home.
In a motion to hold Larry without bail until trial, an Assistant State Attorney stated that Larry is homeless and that he fled in an Uber while patrol vehicles were parked behind the Uber and officers were approaching the home on foot.
Post Miranda, Larry reportedly admitted having sex with the victim but said she forced herself on him and he grabbed her neck in self-defense.
Larry has four felony convictions and has served two state prison sentences for burglary and grand theft; he was released in December 2022. Judge David Kreider granted the State Attorney’s motion to hold him without bail until trial.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

She forced her herself on a man? Please…
This shït is going to keep happening as long as grace stays open. Thanks Mayor Ward. The blood is on you and your commissions hands.
Please don’t close it and turn them loose on Gainesville 24/7, at least they are contained after 10 PM and not prowling our streets, now we know where to find them when crime is commited.
OMG WTF is wrong with college town womyn? They either want a house full of cats, or a pet mascot….until too late.

He’s not homeless. Nobody wants him around let alone live with them. That is why you put down rabid animals.
1 Apply super glue to his private area

Maybe this medical procedure should be offered free at Grace Mkt so homeless stop making more homeless?
Why does the headline always have to say Homeless? Why not “Black Dude”, “Convicted Felon”, “Thug”, “Pervert”, or “Thief”? This website seems to have some preoccupation with “Homeless”.
Just shoot this dog and dump him in the swamp.
Instead of asking why so many headlines say criminals are homeless, maybe you should be asking why we have so many homeless criminals here
Why are you so afraid for people to find out about the massive amount of crime caused by the homeless parasites infesting our city?
Why do you want to cover it up?
