Homeless man on probation charged with stealing Nintendo Switch from Wawa employee
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Curtis Ray Minor, 34, was arrested yesterday after allegedly stealing a Nintendo Switch that a Wawa employee had briefly set down on a counter while getting a soda.
An Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the Wawa at Celebration Pointe at 7:30 a.m. yesterday, where the victim said he was just getting off his shift at about 6:57 a.m. when he put his Wawa apron and his Nintendo Switch, which was in a case with numerous games, on a counter while he went to get a soda.
The deputy viewed store surveillance footage that reportedly showed a man taking the Switch case at about 6:59 a.m. and then leaving the store and riding away on a bicycle.
Deputies searched the area and eventually found a homeless camp in the woods near a construction site at 4100 SW Archer Road, where they reportedly saw Minor wearing the same clothes as the man in the video and carrying a Switch case.
A search incident to arrest reportedly produced a methamphetamine pipe and 0.4 grams of methamphetamine.
Minor also had two felony warrants, one for petit theft and drug possession, and one for violating his sentence of one year of probation on drug possession charges.
Minor is being held on bail of $155,000 across the three cases.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
No matter where, Wawa attracts felons. It’s their business model…those stores are one of the biggest trash magnets of the past decade.
Unfortunely almost all convenience stores in Gainesville and most in Alachua County are getting the same reputation.
University and Waldo Circle K has caution tape on the front main doors, because there is bullet holes in the glass……
Maybe in Gainesville. In Ocala, not so much.
Ocala and Marion County doesn’t have the welcome arms policy that the idiots and Gainesville and Alachua County have

The plague is spreading further west.
Best prepare yourselves with the proper protection…no a mask won’t stop it.
Bet my bottom dollar he’s got a record somewhere but I can’t find him in any FL system (then again, I didn’t look very hard tonight).
Anyways, this is a pattern I’ve noticed when I look up the homeless in these mugshots/ stories these days. Never any FL records. Gainesville gladly receiving the worst of the worst from the rest of the country. Like a beacon in the night.
Lawyers must be using TikTok to advertise short attention span addicts coming here.
He a good Christian boy.
Just look at the cross tat on his neck!
When I was in prison paying for my bad judgement I heard several inmates mention Grace Market Place as their address because they had no home to go to. The D.O.C. would buy them a Grayhound bus ticket to G-ville. That’s how most of these scumbags get here.
Thanks, for information and hope that you are doing well.Since you are man enough to admit mistake and move on.
Must miss his boyfriend back in prison.
Welcome to Gainesville, Wawa. Is it any better than the Jersey turnpike where you started biz? 👹🤡🍦🍦🍦D
Anyone with a face tattoo should be deported to somewhere far away. I doubt there is a single person in this country with a face tattoo that has any redeeming social value. Disclaimer: this is not intended to homophobic. What he does with other men is none of my business.
Is cracker by chance “super cracker” the biggest chicken hawking groomer I’ve ever met? It would be savage to condemn criminal activity here while promoting it to the local youth in real life. Beware the opinions of the institutionalized, they too are biased.
