Hospital reports three males with gunshot wounds after shots were fired in Woodland Villas

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Shortly after 2 a.m. this morning, Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the area of 5900 SW 20th Avenue (Woodland Villas/Majestic Oaks) after multiple citizens reported hearing gunfire in the area. Shortly after arrival, an area hospital reported three male patients arriving with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Detectives are currently working to determine what took place.

If it was the scooter rider I encountered this weekend, it was probably deserved.
Law enforcement should probably put some extra people in place, within a day or two there will probably be a retaliatory shooting. May as well be proactive.

Start by stop using the idiotic phrase ‘gun violence’. That’s a Liberal term meant to place blame/responsibility on inanimate objects…guns. Call them SHOOTINGS, which is what they are. And yes, ENFORCE the 10-20-Life penalties for forcible felonies with firearms.

So many gangs….but they all look alike. How can we tell the difference and learn their gang hand signals so we can properly ‘respect’ them?
City and County leaders may want to consider control burning or thinning out some of these “tree” communities to get rid of some of the more destructive non-native species.
Probably be more of a benefit to the community than planting more.
If it’s gang related, just let them thin themselves out. Crime prevention.

I was terrified last night right next door to my apartment . Deffinetly getting a gun. Thank God for stand my ground laws. Those 3 crack heads better don’t come back here again.
Be sure to take a gun safety course and spend some time at the shooting range. No innocent person should have to live in fear of these thugs.
Until the ‘innocent people” start supporting law and order and being in charge of their own defense, they will continue to be caught in the crossfire.
Majestic Oaks used to be a very safe and decent place for people with disabilities and the surrounding area was poor but safe as well. I had several friends living in and around Majestic Oaks and the trailer park in the 80’s and 90’s including a deaf friend, one of my other friend’s mother, people I knew from high school, and others. I just want people to know how far the area has fallen – it has fallen from decent lower income to below hell. I truly feel sorry for good lower income people who have to live around thug trash.
It was already a hellhole with a security guard in about 95. It’s all been recently rebuilt and actually looks nice now. But I guess that doesn’t matter, as we see over and over again.

MOOgestic Oaks. Say it isn’t so!! Being a holiday weekend and all. It may be time to enact curfews and drop the curtain over these areas and round up the rats. It’s going to be a long hot lethal summer for the communities in question.
