I-75 rest areas in Alachua County scheduled for temporary closures

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will temporarily close the I-75 southbound rest area at Paynes Prairie on Tuesday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the I-75 northbound rest area at Paynes Prairie on Tuesday, May 14, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. to allow for routine maintenance, weather and schedule permitting.

The next rest area for southbound traffic is in Marion County at mile marker 346 and the next rest area for northbound traffic is in Columbia County at mile marker 413.
