Interlachen pair arrested after allegedly pointing gun at another car in road rage incident

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Cameron Lane Daniel, 19, and Destiny Nicole Trull, 19, both of Interlachen, were arrested yesterday after allegedly pointing a gun at the occupants of another car.
A Gainesville Police Department officer responded to a call about a road rage incident at 100 NW 16th Avenue yesterday afternoon at about 4:00 p.m. The victims reportedly told him they had pulled out of the Circle K gas station in their car when they cut off the car driven by Daniel. Trull then allegedly picked up a pistol from the center console and pointed it at the victims while driving next to them. Daniel allegedly took the gun from Trull at some point and also pointed it at the victims. The victims pulled over and called 911.
A search of Daniel’s car reportedly produced a Taurus pistol in a zippered pouch in the back seat.
Post Miranda, Trull reportedly said the victims were driving aggressively, which caused Daniel to swerve off the road. She said she was scared, took out the gun, and pointed it at them to get them to leave her and Daniel alone. She reportedly said, “I don’t even think it’s loaded.”
Post Miranda, Daniel reportedly said one of the victims had tried to run him off the road, so he grabbed the gun from Trull and pointed it at the victims to get them to stop trying to ram his car.
A witness in Daniel’s car reportedly said that one of the victims had yelled at her earlier in the convenience store and then drove recklessly in front of them, causing Daniel to drive off the road. She said she saw Trull holding the gun in the front seat and immediately took it from her.
Both defendants have been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Daniel has a juvenile criminal history; Judge Thomas Jaworski set bail at $2,000, required him to be fitted with a GPS monitor, and set a curfew between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Interlachen clowns. Road rage and new right to carry law will give some interesting outcomes for sure. Sounds like these two were acting like 5 year olds.
I’m surprised there was no drugs found in the vehicle, guilty and dirty is written on the both of their faces.
Neither are old enough to carry a gun. How did they get the pistol in their possession. Sounds to me like they were trying to be badass and when the cops came into place they tried to play victim!
I am one of the victims and this is exactly what happened! They shot three rounds at us and the casings for the bullets were a match and were found at the scene. They’re leaving this part out!!!
They said & they said. Would like to know the rest of the story but it’s obvious – these two should have stayed in the sticks instead of coming to Gainesville.
I wasn’t there but one thing is for certain, all it takes is a phone call and a person’s life is changed forever.
Pulling a gun out because someone cut you off? Did you guys do a proper search of the vehicle? Need to keep people like them off the streets if they pulled a gun out for a minor situation like that, I can only imagine.

Well if this is your sister than maybe you need to have a long conversation about right and wrong with her. The actions by her would only end in tragedy if the other person was armed.

Destiny Trull said…..”I don’t even think the gun was loaded”. These kind of idiots should not have a gun let alone ammunition if they can’t tell if it’s loaded and go around pointing it at others.
