Kat Cammack Declares Victory In Republican Primary For Florida’s Third Congressional District
Press release from Kat for Congress
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Tonight, Kat Cammack declared victory in the primary election for Florida’s Third Congressional District.
With 89 percent of precincts reported as of 9:45 p.m. ET, Cammack defeated a primary opponent with 84.9 percent of the vote to advance as the Republican nominee in November’s general election.
“I’m so honored to be the nominee for Florida’s Third in Congress,” said Cammack. “Over the last two years, I’ve worked hard to advance my constituents’ interests in Congress and to advocate for the issues that matter most, including secure borders, a strong economy, and safe communities.
“I’m grateful to all of our supporters, campaign volunteers, and our hardworking team to make this victory possible. We’re excited to keep the momentum going as we head toward the general election in just a few short months. It is the honor of a lifetime to serve as the congresswoman from the best congressional district in the country.”
The new Florida’s Third Congressional District includes Alachua, Baker, Bradford, Columbia, Dixie, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Lafayette, Levy, Marion, Suwannee, and Union Counties. Cammack received endorsements from all Republican state representatives, senators, and sheriffs in Florida’s Third; the National Rifle Association (NRA); Susan B. Anthony’s List (SBA); National Right to Life; Americans for Prosperity; the NFIB; the Tea Party Express; and Senator Rand Paul’s RANDPAC, in addition to endorsements from former President Donald Trump and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.
The general election is November 8.
Thank you everyone who voted for me! I am glad I was in this primary. Having Republican primary races motivates Republicans to turn out to the non-partisan races like school board and the judicial races. Primary races also motivate NPA voters to join a party so they can participate in primary elections. I think our Congressional primary only focused on policy differences between us. There were much more brutal Republican primary elections around Florida and the country. Hopefully everyone can now work together for the good of the country.
It was great meeting everyone during my year of campaigning.
Thank you!
I hope you will stay involved and consider running for office again, Justin.
Congratulations!!!!!Well deserved victory!!!!Keep up the good work, it is so appreciated!! God bless you!
Kat has accomplished nothing in Congress because she spends her time campaigning, not legislating. She begin her fruitless term by trying to block the presidential election. Given that we now know that even Trump’s own experts and advisors told him lost, she owes us an acknowledgement of her error and an apology for her behavior. Until that at least, she is unfit for office.
Hi Kat:
The US postal service is not what it used to be…locally , we recently had a “mail them” ( the new correct pronoun for mailpeople?) steal credit cards and mail and is looking at going to prison for that…what is your office doing to protect our mail from being stolen and what can you do to make sure we get better US mail service. Some mail was sent undeliverable, some mail never comes, and it takes a week or more for a first class letter to arrive. The US postal service motto of “rain or shine” has been tarnished. Is the US
Postal service something that needs to be brought up before Congress?
The US mail ain’t what it used to be.
I know I’m not alone on this. Try to
Fix it and make it the honorable institution it used to be. Thanks.
