GAINESVILLE, Fla. — Congresswoman Kat Cammack (FL-03) has released her first districtwide ad of the cycle, titled “Gator Nation.” The ad focuses on how Gator Nation counts on Kat to fight for the economy, secure borders, 2nd Amendment freedoms, and the sanctity of life. The ad buy will currently focus on targeting voters in FL-03 where they are increasingly consuming video content, from digital and OTT to CTV and others.
Congresswoman Cammack said, “Gator Nation is my home, and I will continue to work tirelessly for my constituents to protect and defend their freedoms. I will stand with President Trump to get our country back on track and to secure our nation’s borders, strengthen our economy, protect the unborn, and bring sanity back to Washington.”

In fairness to all US Reps of either party who are in first or second terms, the Party Whips & leadership will only bring legislation to a floor vote if the member is senior in nature, favored by the media b/c it generates free publicity, and/or the donor class has given the go ahead.
These new members tend to be put on fairly meaningless committees and need to be shown that they can tow the line, and, bring in $, before they move up the ranks. Thats why they rant for their 5 minutes in their committees in front of a witness for YouTube short clips and fundraising videos, and then at most a sternly worded letter will be sent by committee chair on most any actions of possible malfeasance. The show must go on. I think I’m a bit jaded and saddened by it all at the federal level.
Having said all that, I am grateful personally that she has voted against sending money to Ukraine and the forever wars, since that’s where new members can show where they stand on issues is by their votes.

Kat tried to overturn the 2020 election by throwing out the votes of the people of states that didn’t vote for her cult leader. That was in her 1st act as a Representative and makes her unfit and a traitor to our democracy. She has still not apologized for that.

Kat benefits from the radically gerrymandered Florida House districts which DeSantis bulled through in 2022. Out of 28 districts, Democrats have 8, or 29% of the delegation, which in no way comes close to representing the voters in Florida. How the courts allowed this to stand is a scandal, and to some extent driven by the GOP majority SC court’s fairly recent decision to abandon enforcement of the 15th amendment (reinforced by the VR Act of 1965) which protected black representation in southern states (DeSantis’s gerrymander specifically gutted a district represented by a black congressman). The argument was that it was no longer necessary in modern times – yeah, right!
Some states have gone to non-partisan commissions to draw up districts with each census and any fair minded voter should support that option as best for all states, or just start with Florida. The politicians will rip off voters if they can and that is exactly what the GOP has done to Florida voters.
Cammack is a plant and a puppet who cares only about money. Not even from Florida, from Colorado. Hate that I have to vote for Wells, but here we are.
