Kissimmee man arrested for stalking UF student
Staff report
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Enrique Manuel Montalvo, 23, was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated stalking after allegedly driving to Gainesville numerous times to follow an ex-girlfriend, sending her messages from 30 different phone numbers, and creating Instagram accounts to post embarrassing pictures of her.
Over a three-month period since July, Montalvo has allegedly called and texted the victim, who reportedly told him multiple times that she did not want any further contact with him. He allegedly sent her more than 50 text messages from 30 different phone numbers.
Montalvo allegedly created multiple Instagram accounts to post embarrassing pictures of the victim that were not sexually explicit but showed her in the bathroom, for example. He also allegedly posted her address, phone number, and other personal information on public Instagram posts. He also reportedly send friend requests to her friends for the purpose of finding out which events she was attending.
On August 22, Montalvo reportedly saw an Instagram post of the victim with another man and allegedly began repeatedly calling her phone, saying he was driving up to Gainesville. A few hours later, he allegedly arrived at her apartment, searched the parking garage for her car, and sent her photos of her car, saying he would be watching it all night. The victim said this made her afraid for her life.
Montalvo allegedly followed her to campus the next day, and she rushed into a building and locked the door behind her. Montalvo could not open the door because he did not have a UF ID; he allegedly said she had better let him in but eventually left.
Later the same day, the victim believed he had left, so she went to a restaurant near campus; Montalvo allegedly approached her inside the restaurant and said they “would be talking.” She said she didn’t want to make a scene or endanger herself, so she spoke with him, and he left.
When the victim reported the harassment on September 20, she told a University of Florida Police Department officer that she was afraid to go to class after that incident and that Montalvo continued to harass her with text messages and Instagram posts and threatened to come to Gainesville to find her.
The officer called Montalvo and reported that he hung up as soon as he identified himself as a police officer; Montalvo allegedly started texting the victim, calling her names and threatening to post more pictures of her. He also allegedly said he was driving up to Gainesville right away; the victim said she barely slept out of fear.
Traffic cameras showed that Montalvo’s car was in Gainesville yesterday, and he was reportedly stopped by a UFPD officer as he was walking toward the victim’s apartment.
Montalvo reportedly said he was on his way to see the victim and talk to her.
Post Miranda, he reportedly admitted to creating the various Instagram accounts and making posts about the victim, along with calling her from multiple phone numbers. He reportedly said that the Instagram posts were his way of retaliating against her.
Montalvo has been charged with aggravated stalking. He has no criminal history in Alachua or Orange Counties. Judge Denise Ferrero ordered him held without bail.

These photos are public records. The AC cannot stick their name over them and attempt to “copyright” them. They are public records, not yours.
That’s all you have to say about this animal terrorizing a victim. Nice try.
Woke up bear. The AC has removed the comments section from the daily jail booking log page. A comment about the AC methodology must be put in another thread like this one. It has nothing to do with your hatred for this dude. It is about the AC illegally trying to copyright public records owned by you and me. Chill out or go . . .
Bless your little bleeding heart
Actually was very curious myself at ACs attempt to copy right and post watermark over images that do not belong them.
Dude clearly doesn’t know when enough is enough… perhaps his lengthy jail stay until trial will give him time to think.
so glad they got him before it got worst !
worse
He’ll end up hurting her or her new man if she has one. They better use their second amendment right to protect themselves if they need to. He’s a psychopath.
I wonder if he is an illegal alien.
Of course you do.
Maybe if he put that much energy into his high school studies, he’d be going to UF, too.
