LaCrosse man arrested for threatening wife with machete
LACROSSE, Fla. – Freddie Lee Moore, Sr., 72, was arrested yesterday and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault on a person over the age of 65 after allegedly threatening his wife with a machete.
At about 3:15 p.m. yesterday, Moore and his wife were reportedly arguing when he went outside to the front porch and came back with a machete. When Moore’s wife saw him with the machete, he allegedly threatened to “slice” her, then sat down in his chair to wait for law enforcement. The victim told deputies that she was in fear of physical harm because he has a history of violence toward her.
Post Miranda, Moore reportedly admitted that he had a machete in his hand during the argument.
Moore has three felony convictions (two violent) and three misdemeanor convictions (two violent). He was sentenced to five years of probation in 2013 for domestic battery. Judge Susan Miller-Jones set bail at $180,000.

At least he stopped before he killed her but this shows that people will use anything as weapon when they are intent on harming someone. Maybe we should outlaw machetes.

I truly believe Freddie Lee wasn’t going to hurt her. Never known him to be that violent. He probably spoke out of madness.
Two violent felony convictions and two violent misdemeanor covictions dosen’t count as having violent history. Maybe you missed that.
This is my father he isn’t a violent person.He is a sweet loving person he would give the shirt off his back. Know one knows what my father goes through with his wife. I just wish he would have just left.
