LaCrosse man charged with indecent exposure at Lexington Crossing apartments

BY JENNIFER CABRERA

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – John Wesley Mosley, Jr., 28, was arrested early this morning and charged with two counts of indecent exposure after two residents of Lexington Crossing apartments reported a man masturbating in a stairwell.

Gainesville Police Department (GPD) detectives were in the area for the specific purpose of watching Mosley, who is reportedly a suspect in a series of approximately 11 indecent exposure incidents in Gainesville since January of 2022. After Mosley was seen by the residents, he reportedly hurried to his vehicle and drove away at a high rate of speed. GPD patrol cars conducted a traffic stop and detained Mosley.

Post Miranda, Mosley denied being at Lexington Crossing or exposing himself.

Mosley has a previous conviction of indecent exposure from 2017, resulting in one year of probation. He is currently facing four counts of indecent exposure in two cases. He has been released from custody.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Rightfully arrested, but my question is why are those exact same behaviors are somehow acceptable during the month of June in certain parades around the country?

  • Are the witnesses sure the alleged person is a man?

With all the people running around in today’s society who can’t seem to recognize what they are maybe they arrested the wrong person.
