  • I used to love going to the Oaks Mall. I haven’t gone back there in a few years. Between the panhandlers that accost you for money and the thugs inside and in the parking, it is no longer a pleasant nor a safe place to be. How sad!

    • The sad part is everything moved to Butler Plaza. Butler Plaza made no plans for people who cannot drive and who cannot afford a full time chauffer. There is no way to go from one store to another. Butler discriminates against the disabled and elderly. You have to drive more than once to shop at several stores. The roads are poorly planned and congested. Such an unattractive series of stores and big, big parking lots.

      • That has been the trend almost all over. The great malls have mostly shut down in Jax and most go to the St. John’s Town Center. Not sure why this has been the trend unless it is because, in so many places, undesirables have found it the place to ‘hang out.’
