Letter: Be aware of new veterinary mRNA vaccines
Letter to the editor
A warning to pet owners: The USDA recently approved mRNA vaccines for dogs and cats. The product line from Merck Animal Health, branded as Nobivac NXT, includes RNA vaccines for canine influenza and feline leukemia. According to the American Animal Hospital Association, “the animal RNA particle vaccine footprint has already expanded beyond Canine Flu and FeLV in Canada, where 3-year Nobivac NXT RNA particle rabies vaccines are already being marketed for dogs and cats.” Rabies vaccinations are required for cats and dogs in Alachua County.
These vaccines have NOT undergone longitudinal studies to determine potential harms to both pets and humans. They have been fast-tracked by the USDA.
I’ve contacted several veterinary clinics in the area to inquire whether or not they are or will be using any of these mRNA vaccines, in light of the lack of appropriate testing. None of them have answered my question.
The next time your veterinarian recommends a vaccine for your pet, ask to see the package insert and check whether the vaccine uses mRNA technology. If the lack of long-term testing of these mRNA vaccines concerns you, ask your veterinarian to use a traditional, well-tested non-mRNA vaccine.

The vaccine industry is a racket.
I doubt those who’ve been affected by polio, smallpox or tetanus would agree.
Then again, it’s doubtful if vaccines were discovered and made available for cancer or heart disease many would complain. I’ve yet to see many parents object to treatments that could potentially spare their child’s life if facing a terminal illness.
Real vaccines are not mRNA jabs.
Ok “Doc” lol
Make vaccines great again 🇺🇸💉
Idiocy. Do you personally inspect airplanes before boarding?
This is why we have an FDA until now run by doctors and scientists with open research regularly being conducted by our many universities, not crank lawyers like RFKjr who got rich suing drug companies and think they are the enemy. Watching he and Trump discuss autism is like a bad Saturday Night Live skit – too far fetched to be believable.
Here’s the head of John Hopkins Univ vaccine center explaining why mRNA vaccines (they’ve been studied for 20 years and are well understood by us) are safe with the same obersight as all new drugs.

Drink the kool-aid
Yeah, it’s a plot Crap and that’s why polio, measles, malaria, smallpox, and other killers aren’t anymore.
Your naive faith in authority is deadly, keep on drinking my friend.
Crap, you should only hope to live to my age now, and I’m in pretty good shape.
Those were REAL vaccines.
Trump was considered an “amateur politician” once, too. Until he ushers in world peace and prosperity… 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
