Letter: Vote for Malwitz-Jipson in HD10
Letter to the editor
I was interested to read Shannon Boal’s letter of a few days ago, where he was enticed by Marshall Rawson to even switch parties to vote for him without even noting some of his questionable past activities (like his participation in the Unite the Right March in Charlottesburg, Virginia or his membership in the League of the South) and goes on to say, “It has been hard to find a Democrat to vote for.”
Not in Florida State House District 10 this year! This year’s race features Democrat Merrillee Malwitz -Jipson, who foresaw our pending water problems long ago and has been extremely active as a private citizen in trying to protect our once bountiful aquatic resources for a couple of decades now. She is running on a platform of Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness (sound familiar?) and further defines Life as clean air, clean water, and healthy communities; Liberty as more than freedom from – rather the freedom to do things such as learn and thrive and speak one’s mind; and the pursuit of Happiness through strong public education, support of arts and multicultural education, “communities where every voice is heard and every person belongs.“ You can see more detail of her concepts at Merrillee.com. If she can generate half the energy that she has expended in the past from a legislative position we all will be so much better for it.

Mr. Rawson are these assertions true? Unite the Right participation?
Silence will tell us all we need to know.
Conservative is one thing, alignment with calls for succession is nuts!
Given all your left-leaning posts, there’s zero chance you’re voting in the Republican primary OR voting for the Republican nominee, so why would any Republican care what you think about our candidates?
Many conservatives are thoughtful people despite what many of the posters here display.
Decency isn’t a Republican or democrat exclusive trait, but it should be the minimum requirement for elected office. Simple questions for him to answer.
