Man arrested after crashing truck into road sign at NW 39th Avenue & NW 43rd Street

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Ronaldo Roblero Roblero, 22, was arrested yesterday after he was reportedly found slumped over the wheel of a pickup truck that had run off the road near the intersection of NW 39th Avenue and NW 43rd Street, hitting a sign.
Gainesville Police Department responded to a call about a man asleep behind the wheel of a pickup truck at the intersection, and the officer said she found Roblero Roblero slumped over the wheel with the engine running. Florida Highway Patrol conducted the crash investigation, and an Alachua Police Department officer provided language translation services for the Miranda warning and the field sobriety exercises. Roblero Roblero reportedly provided a birthplace of Mexico City, Mexico, and a Gainesville address but had no identification or driver’s license.
Post Miranda, Roblero Roblero reportedly said he’d had four beers and had awakened in the truck after it hit the sign. He reportedly performed poorly on the field sobriety exercises and was administered a breath test at the jail, with results of .192 and .179.
Roblero Roblero has been charged with DUI, DUI with damage to property, and driving without a valid license. He is being held on $1,500 bail.

Well, his ancestors came over from Spain a long time ago, to Mexico. They took over Mexico and that’s their land. Our ancestors, speaking personally, came from Western Europe and took over this land, so it’s our land. He should stay in his land, Mexico, or at least come here through proper channels. Stick to the facts here. The person appears to be of Hispanic origin based on his photo and he stated he he was from Mexico City, Mexico. He hit a sign, was sleeping, and was drunk, was arrested, and is in jail. Any other statements are heresy.
