BY JENNIFER CABRERA

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Henry Maurice Hall, 25, was arrested yesterday and charged with firing a weapon in public and eight more gun- and drug-related charges after allegedly discharging a firearm in Majestic Oaks.

At about 2:00 p.m. yesterday, an Alachua County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to a report of shots fired in Majestic Oaks Apartments, 5800 SW 20th Avenue. The caller said the shooter was a black male wearing all black and that he was with a white female wearing a yellow dress. The deputy saw a man and woman matching that description near the office and made contact with them. A witness identified the man as the shooter, and the deputy detained him.

A search incident to arrest produced a pistol that had been reported stolen locally, 10.8 grams of marijuana, 7.3 grams of cocaine, three oxycodone pills along with three pieces of oxycodone pills, two naloxone hydrochloride pills, baggies, and a scale.

Hall has been charged with firing a weapon in public, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, carrying a concealed firearm without a permit, grand theft of a firearm, possession of cocaine, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana, possession of drug equipment, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

Hall has six felony convictions, with the most recent in 2019. Judge Aymer “Buck” Curtin set bail at $225,000.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

  • Another stolen gun in the possession of a convicted felon.

Better be prepared to protect yourself and your family, they are.

    • How could a convicted felon have a gun? That’s against the law!!🤣. Better make some more gun laws!! 😝

  • I think it is a contest to see who can get the most felony convictions. He is 25 and already had 6 – WHY is he not already in prison for life?

    • They have to have street cred for they’re crap i mean rap careers. all of them wanna be kodak whack.

    • Florida needs a three strike law third felony 10 years commit a 4th one it’s 20 years 5 one it’s life get these low life’s off the streets regardless of what some think you can’t rehab, some people

  • I’ve been so prejudicial, someone told me. I didn’t know Obama phones were designed without an alarm clock app, or any clock. There’s no storage space with all the gumment issued apps for ballot harvesters and section 8 drug delivery GPS apps, courthouse and jail, etc maps and bail bondsmen payment apps…
Shame on me for being so judgmental before 🥲🥲

    • I got a thumbs down…the bail should be higher? You would think differently if this felons gun was pointed at you…I think bail was reasonable.

      • Bail seems reasonable, however, he hasn’t been plea bargained down to a curfew violation yet. 6 felony convictions and no mention of any prison time.

  • Not that you care but you really are a racist POS JeffK. I wish you couldn’t hide behind a created screen name. I doubt you would have so much to say
