Marion Milton Coleman, 58, was arrested yesterday evening for allegedly holding a knife to the throat of a man at Oak Park apartments.
At about 6:00 p.m. yesterday, a man reported that as he was approaching the building, at 100 NE 8th Avenue, Coleman walked up to him and began yelling at him. The victim said Coleman had a knife in his hand and held the blade to the victim’s throat while shouting at him.
Coleman reportedly left on foot and was located in the building a short time later. A witness confirmed the victim’s account of the incident.
Post Miranda, Coleman reportedly admitted to having his knife in his hand but said it was down by his side. He has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill and is being held on $100,000 bail.
