Man arrested for improper touching of 13-year-old

BY JENNIFER CABRERA

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Bernard Isaac, 58, was arrested yesterday and charged with lewd or lascivious molestation of a person under 16.

The victim described the incident, which happened in January, to the team at the Child Advocacy Center and said Isaac, who was living with his family at the time, came into his bedroom. The victim reportedly said that when he asked what Isaac was doing and said he would tell his father, Isaac said, “If you do, I am going to f*** him up.” The victim said that Isaac pulled his pants down and touched him through his underwear.

While detectives were interviewing witnesses at the victim’s house yesterday, they learned that the defendant was outside and arrested him. Post Miranda, Isaac denied touching the victim.

Isaac has 12 felony convictions, going back to 1982, mostly for drug offenses. Bail information is unavailable on weekends.

Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
