Man arrested for pointing gun at passing motorist in High Springs
Staff report
HIGH SPRINGS, Fla. – Matthew Raymond Shackleton, 29, was arrested yesterday morning and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly pointing a gun at a passing motorist in High Springs.
A High Springs Police Department officer responded to a call at about 6:35 a.m. on Wednesday about a man pointing a gun at a passing motorist. The victim reported that Shackleton pointed a gun at her as she passed him on U.S. Hwy 27 and then continued to follow her through the city before the police officer pulled him over at the intersection of U.S. Hwy 27 and U.S. Hwy 441. The officer reported finding a handgun in the center console of Shackleton’s vehicle.
Shackleton’s address is listed as Middleburg on the arrest report, but court documents also list Branford as his residence; court documents state that he has worked at a Walmart Distribution Center for four months. Shackleton has two misdemeanor convictions (none violent). Judge Thomas Jaworski set bail at $50,000, with a requirement that Shackleton be fitted with a GPS monitor before release.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Typical thug
He looks like trouble waiting to happen. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Give him some time in the slammer to think about it.
How is putting a gps monitor going to keep this man from doing anything illegal?
