Andrew Jonathan Morrison, 26, was arrested yesterday evening for two separate incidents of theft over two days.
On March 25 at about 5:15 p.m., employees at REI reported that a man had walked in and browsed the bicycle section of the store. He selected an electric bicycle valued at $2,299 and rode it out of the store without paying for it.
At 7:15 p.m. on March 26, employees of Walmart at 2900 SW 42nd Street reported that a man had removed a security device from a stereo system valued at $149 and had taken it out of the store without paying for it.
Morrison was identified from store surveillance video, and post Miranda, he reportedly said he had taken the bicycle to give to his friend for rent money he owed and had taken the stereo to trade for food stamps. He is being held on $7,000 bail.
