Man arrested for threatening bouncer with gun

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Daniel Eli Miller, 32, was arrested early this morning after allegedly displaying a gun to a bouncer who was trying to remove him from SIlver Q.
At about 1:39 a.m., a Gainesville Police Department officer responded to a report of a man threatening a bouncer with a gun at Silver Q, 225 W. University Avenue.
The bouncer was reportedly trying to remove Miller from the bar for his “improper behavior.” The bouncer reportedly asked Miller to leave multiple times, and Miller reportedly became argumentative and refused to leave. When the bouncer approached Miller to physically remove him, Miller allegedly pulled up his shirt and showed the bouncer a gun in a holster on his belt. The holster reportedly had a magnetic flap over the top, and Miller allegedly lifted the flap to show the bouncer the gun. The bouncer, who was able to describe the gun, told the officer that he was afraid Miller would shoot him if he continued to perform his job as security for the bar.
Miller reportedly has a valid concealed carry permit, but Florida statutes prohibit carrying a concealed weapon in a bar.
Post Miranda, Miller reportedly said he was in a verbal altercation with the bouncer because he did not understand why he was being kicked out. He reportedly admitted that he pulled up his shirt but said he did not show his gun to anyone.
The officer reported that Miller appeared to be intoxicated at the time of his arrest.
Miller has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a violation of concealed carry laws. He has one misdemeanor conviction for domestic stalking. Bail information is unavailable on weekends.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Sweeeeeet ☺️ can’t wait for open carry in Florida.. these guys are gonna be next to you in Walmart when ur with ur kids..thanks Ronnie..freedoms dripping all over
GeeZus…Hopefully ready to protect those who are afraid to protect themselves and their families.
Beats having a pedophile next to you or someone who can’t decide what gender they are going to the bathroom with your children.
What makes you think they don’t do it now?
They needed open carry at pre-closing Crane Ramen other night, for sure.
Well that was very smart. Alcohol and guns never mix well.
I have a suggestion for the booking agents: Instead of just having the normal identifiers in place on the placard, put “stupid” or dumbarse.”
It’s fitting and no further explanation needed for why they are having their picture taken.
Nowadays it’s too risky to be downtown after dark. Choose lunches, not dinners, folks.
I think I’ll choose to do neither. I don’t want to support a crime ridden communist enclave (Gville) in any way shape or form with my $$$.
He’s going to have to surrender his CWP and not be around guns until his
Charges are resolved…if he’s convicted, no more CWP. Will Kramer drop his charges?
