Man arrested on battery charge at Pine Ridge Apartments

BY JENNIFER CABRERA
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Clarence Junior Williams, 51, whose address is listed as GRACE Marketplace, was arrested early yesterday morning in Pine Ridge Apartments and charged with felony battery as a repeat offender.
The victim told a Gainesville Police Department officer that Williams was “very drunk” and began arguing with her over a phone call she had received from another man, although she and Williams are not in a relationship. Williams then reportedly told her to get out of an apartment, although Williams does not live in or own that apartment. He allegedly grabbed her by the throat and push her out the back door, then pushed her to the ground, then threw her belongings out of the apartment.
Williams then allegedly followed the victim to a neighboring apartment and tried to attack her again but was held back by bystanders. The victim said she then ran into the woods to hide from Williams.
Williams has 11 felony convictions and has served six state prison terms. He is being held on $5,000 bail.
Articles about arrests are based on reports from law enforcement agencies. The charges listed are taken from the arrest report and/or court records and are only accusations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
See other comment today. Ditto. But get this guy a pirate patch too.
Forget about a “pirate patch”…In her self defense, she should have poked him in his good eye when he grabbed her by the throat….
